This mid-shot of her enables the viewers to catch a glimpse of her-the darkness that surrounds her conveys an atmosphere of mystery while the glow of the candle light brings a sense of hope.

Typical of music videos, this video also uses close-ups. It is effective as the emotion can be captured which allow audiences to establish relationship with visuals and narrative. The composition of the shot brings the focus out on her expression, style, accessories etc.

In this close-up shot we can see someone holding a candle so you now gather that the song is sad. The colour in this scene is captivating. The blue tint and candle light contribute in setting the tone for the video.

This shot is really powerful as her outline is actually quite flattering but the lighting contrast adds to the enjoyment of the video whilst setting the genre.
