What is a music video?

A music video is a short film or video which accompanies music and sometimes there is a narrative to go with the music.

The main use of music videos is to promote the song which is sung by an artist. This helps the artist sell more CD’s and sometimes they put their music on iTunes so that everyone can download it.

With development of technology it means that people can now download music and put the music on to there smartphones. Programmes like itunes have become very popular with audience because they can download it onto there computer and put it onto the iphones.
