Analysis of album covers

They have stick to the codes and conventions of her music video when it comes to the album cover. They have done this by using the colours black and white. They have used these colour all over the album cover and they have even made her hair look like that. She is sitting on a piano which is black and it has white keys to stick to her image. The piano is there to empathise what the album is about and how she is feeling. This also fits into the name of the album because when you normally hear a song there is normally a piano playing in the background.
The whole cover is made to look glum so from this we can tell what sort of music will be on the album. You can tell this by the look on her face and the colours that they have chosen to use. However white and black contrast so there could be different types of music on the album. We can also tell my the name of the title because the title sounds sad as she is saying goodbye to something or someone. You can see that she is outside for this shoot because we can see the light reflecting on her face which brightens up her dress. However her mood is very a serious so we can tell she is not going through a happy time of her life.
The dress that she is wearing is puffy so that it covers most of the piano. The colour of the dress really brings out the other colours in the picture and when we see the dress it catch’s our eye and it does make us look at her expression on her face.
The typography of the title is very similar to other ones that she has also used before. .So it means that she is trying to keep to style and type.
