Lighting

Christina Perri- A thousand years

Once again providing a range of shots of the lights creates special relations-the audience can feel part of narrative.

This shot is equally powerfully –centring the artist in the frame and showing the light from outside offers the audience to familiarise themselves with the context.

This shot of the lights dying out is a clever choice of props to parallel with the lyrics which are suggesting a dying love. The flame dying effectively symbolises that.

The scintillation of the tea lights which are blurred in the background creates an almost fairy-tale like narrative. The focus being on Christina Perri is to empathise on her skills as an artist.

This binary opposition create by light-suggests that she feels alone, at the deep end-despite the brightness being all around her. This is clever camera language which conveys a lot about the mood and the narrative of the video.
