Camera angles from music videos

Long shots

They tend to use long shots at the beginning off music videos so that we see the scenery and location that the singer is in. This can also create emotions. They tend to use a zoom after this shot so we come closer towards the action. This also sets the scene for the music video and the emotions we are meant to feel.

This is from bleeding love and it is a long shot which moves into a zoom but we can see the scenes in what the audience need to look at.

They use long shots to set the scene and to illustrate a point. From these shots they tend to zoom in slowly so that we move with the camera. Long shots are effective because we can see the place where they are and we feel the emotions that they go through.

They use long shots to set the scene in this music video and they use it as well to set the emotions that we are suppose to feel. We also get an idea of where the location is and we can see they it is deserted so the idea is going to be on loneliness.

Zoom

They tend to use zoom quite a bit and it tends to happen after the long shot and they take us right to the action. The move is slow but smooth so we feel like we move with the action and we feel like we are being taken into their world and the problems they have within it.
