Close-up shots

The most common type of shots used in music videos tends to be close-up to show the emotions that they have while they are singing the song. No matter what music video you look at the most common shot will be the close up shot. They do close ups on their  face to show the emotion they has as well as trying to empathise the lyrics with the visuals. This is part of the Goodwin’s theory.

 



 

Camera Angles from music videos

This shots are from the music video 'Wish you were here' by Avril lavigne . They empathise her emotions.

This is shots from 'A thousand years' by Christinna Perri which allows us to see her emotions through her facial expressions.  

These are screenshots from the music video 'Bleeding love' by Leona Lewis and they try and portray the story through a range of close-ups.
