1984's

This is the first music video that was ever created. However when you view it you can see the difference between the technologies that we have today. Throughout the song they use still images to represent the song. This video was created in 1894 by Edward B Marks and Joe stern who were music writers who called in people to record their song ‘The little lost child’.

This is known as the illustrated song. They mainly used this song in the theatres. They use pictures like the ones below to illustrate the narrative of the song. They have also used titles so the lyrics come up on screen so you can sing along. This came about in  the 1980’s

The Beatles

They are the most commercially successful and critically acclaimed act in the history of popular music. In 1960s, they first started playing in clubs which helped build their reputation up over the 3 year period.

Their hit single was released in 1962 but in the next year, they had worked up a name called “Fab Four”. Their hit album was released in 1966 called “Revolver”.

Since then they have created iconic music and pictures which will be remembered for many years to come.

This is one of the most iconic pictures that they had done for their song Down the Abbey road. Other bands are now trying to do the same thing and many have tried to recreate this picture.
